More than 300,000 rotatable mirrors reflect the sun’s light to three solar towers. The tops of the towers are heated to temperatures of up to 1,000 °C. A heat exchanger turns the heat into steam to drive a generator. With a nominal output of 392 megawatts, this power plant of the superlatives can supply electricity for 140,000 households.
